Savings, Building Wealth and Debt Reduction for the Global Economy: The African Diaspora

The United States vast majority of families are affected by these turbulent economic times individually and collectively. The depressed housing market, the rise of job losses coupled with fiscal uncertainty are just a few of the issues affecting people of color in the African Diaspora. For U.S. citizens, this global crises brings the issue of globalization to new front coupled with out pour of world citizens feeling a social responsibility to look at the crises is Haiti and other natural disasters in a new way. All across the globe persons in the African Diaspora are saving more, building strategic plans about their fiscal affairs and making plans for their economic future in ways they never did before. If we are to help others as we help ourselves and our families, it is critical that we begin to have a national dialogue to address this global situation. Help is on the way, but it will take each of us to dig a little deeper, resolve our common good and build on our strengthens to help those in need.
